With the release of the hit regency drama ‘Bridgerton‘ drawing close, the film’s lead stars have teased fans with details about the scandal, romance, and drama in store for the upcoming season.
Season 3 of the show will put the focus on Nicola Coughlan‘s Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton‘s Colin Bridgerton. The on-screen love interests previously spilled the beans about the show and teased some steamy intimate scenes.
However, Nicola has now revealed that she had a special clause in her contract addressing the show’s risque content. In the midst of discussing the upcoming season’s plot, which sees Penelope navigating the intricacies of the marriage mart while maintaining her secret identity as Lady Whistledown, Coughlan confirmed rumours during an appearance on SiriusXM Hits 1 that she requested a PG-rated cut for her parents to watch, a provision explicitly written into her contract.”It’s literally written into my contract. People think I’m saying it as a joke,” Coughlan explained. “I just don’t want to… We grew up Irish Catholic. That’s just not how we vibe.”
The actress previously teased that fans will get to see plenty of intimate scenes in the upcoming season, right from the first two episodes. ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 is set to debut soon, consisting of two parts— Part 1 releases on May 16 and the final four episodes will premiere on June 13.
