March 13, 2024: Ryan Gosling, already an iconic SNL host with great sketches like “Santa Baby” and the infamous “Close Encounter” (in which he was reduced to bits) under his belt, is returning to 30 Rock as the host on April 13, promoting his upcoming movie The Fall Guy. He’ll be accompanied by Chris Stapleton as musical guest, and if the similarities between “You Should Probably Leave” and I Think You Should Leave are any indication, he’ll fit right in to a sketch-comedy show.
Gosling will be preceded by Kristen Wiig, promoting Palm Royale, on April 6, who we have a suspicion might be pretty good at this SNL stuff. Raye, Brit favo(u)rite, will be the musical guest. But before Wiig, we’ll get to have some fun with Ramy Youssef, of Poor Things and Ramy fame, on March 30, who is performing alongside Travis Scott. Moving through the spring, we request that Trisha Paytas pull double duty at Lorne Michaels’s earliest convenience. Below, the SNL season-49 lineup so far.
