Chamkila’s journey in music began with his debut hit album ‘Takue Te Takua’ in 1980, featuring the talented vocalist Surinder Sonia. However, he decided to venture into Punjabi music independently which led him to meet his future wife and musical collaborator, Amarjot Kaur. Together, they crafted numerous hits, captivating audiences with their unparalleled talent and chemistry.
Tragically, Chamkila’s life was cut short at the age of 27 when he and Amarjot were assassinated. Despite his untimely demise, Chamkila’s legacy continues to inspire artists and music enthusiasts alike.
