Riteish Deshmukh, who was last seen in the OTT film ‘Kakuda’, reveals that he has an array of interesting projects in the pipeline and most of them are sequels to blockbuster films like ‘Masti’, ‘Dhamaal’, and ‘Houseful’.
During an interview with IndiaToday.in, Riteish opened up about his upcoming films. He shared, “I have three back-to-back projects. I’m doing ‘Masti 4’, ‘Dhamaal 4’ and ‘Houseful 5’.I’m super-excited for this reunion to happen with my fellow co-actors and directors.”
He also talked about the choices of films he prefers to work on. He further stated, “With time, my selection process has also evolved and changed, as far as picking my movies is concerned. Today, I’m at that space where I want to work with people who I respect and also enjoy working with and do the kind of work that I haven’t done before. I also have a small production house where I’m working on a few Marathi films which also takes up most of my time.”
The actor also discussed how he still stays relevant in the industry and said that he feels that choices are in one’s hands while choosing a film but the outcome of that film is not. One really cannot dictate whether it’s going to be a success or not. He further added, “Any actor who has to stay on for long, it’s very important that the work we do is appreciated. Whether we come again on screen or not, is dependent on the success of a film. I have been lucky enough that these successes have come intermittently or more often and that, in my case, has worked for me. So, I have been very lucky that way.”
On the work front, Ritesish recently made his OTT debut with the medical-drama series ‘Pill X’. The eight-episode series was created by Raj Kumar Gupta and was released on July 12. Riteish was also seen in the horror-comedy film ‘Kakuda’ alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem.
