Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one of the dream directors every actor in the film industry desires to work with. However, there have been several reports and confessions about the filmmaker shouting at and abusing his crew members and actors on set once he becomes involved in the serious craft of direction. Recently, actor-comedian Haarsh Limbachiyaa shared his experience with the filmmaker on the sets of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela‘.
In an interview with Bharti TV on YouTube, Haarsh recalled a horrible incident that occurred on the set of the Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer. The comedian mentioned that Sanjay had around 12–13 assistants on the massive set. When he witnessed Sanjay abusing one of his assistants, he decided to leave the shoot. “I saw him abuse someone, and I came back immediately. After I returned, the person who introduced us, Bhansali, abused him a lot. ‘See, that boy ran away’. I said, ‘I can’t be in a place where people abuse me.’ I got out right then,” he shared.
Haarsh also mentioned that after narrating a double-meaning sex comedy script, Bhansali found it hilarious and expressed interest in working with him. Although the script was not something Bhansali could produce, he was impressed by Haarsh’s talent and offered him the opportunity to assist on set. This validation from a respected veteran led Haarsh to leave his TV gigs, including Comedy Circus, and join the team on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.
The comedian owns his production company and is married to comedian and host Bharti Singh. They share a child, Laksh Singh Limbachiyaa.
‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ also featured Richa Chadha, Sharad Kelkar, Supriya Pathak, and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles.
