Ajith Kumar recently suffered an injury during his practice session for the prestigious 24H Dubai car race, leaving fans concerned. However, a video of the actor speaking to a reporter during the ongoing preparations for the competition is now going viral on the internet. In the video, he shares that he plans to pursue motorsport and will not sign any films until the racing season concludes.
The race is scheduled for 11–12 January, and Ajith is teaming up with Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod to showcase his prowess on the track.
In a recent interview with an international outlet, the actor provided insights into how he balances his dual passions for racing and cinema. Speaking candidly, he said, “I plan to pursue motorsports, not just as a driver but as a team owner as well. Until the racing season is on, I won’t be signing any films.”
He further elaborated on his strategy, stating, “Probably between October and March, before the racing season commences, I will act in films. This way, no one needs to worry, and I can be at full throttle when I race.”
When asked if production companies ever demand that he prioritise filming over his racing commitments or if he includes specific conditions in his contracts to address such concerns, Ajith responded with confidence: “I don’t need to be told what to do and what not to do.”
As part of his rigorous preparation, Ajith has been training intensively, even surviving a notable mishap during his practice sessions. His dedication underscores his commitment to performing at the highest level alongside his teammates in Dubai.
On the work front, Ajith Kumar has two major releases slated for 2025. While fans were eagerly awaiting ‘Vidaamuyarchi‘, its release has been postponed from its original Pongal 2025 slot, with a revised date yet to be announced. However, the actor will grace the silver screen as the lead in ‘Good Bad Ugly‘, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, which is set to release on April 10.
