He described feeling overwhelmed when Dev Anand invited him to his house, considering it an incredible honor. Khandelwal, unsure how long he would have this opportunity, decided to document the meeting with his still camera. He visited Dev Anand’s residence, cherishing the encounter as a significant moment in his life.
Rajeev further recalled that during his meeting with Dev Anand, he was so captivated by the legendary actor’s style that he couldn’t help but ask him if it was real. Dev Anand replied that it was his skin. Khandelwal cherished this interaction, emphasizing the lasting impact of that brief encounter with the iconic actor.
The actor concluded by sharing that he respectfully touched Dev Anand’s feet as a gesture of admiration. However, Dev Anand humbly declined the gesture and questioned why Khandelwal was doing so. Khandelwal explained that he felt compelled to show his respect for the actor’s inspiring work.
