The Bachchan trio – Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan came together for the first time for a song which turned out to become so iconic! Right from its music to the lyrics to the way these three danced – ‘Kajra Re‘ will always be unparalleled and fans continue to shower love on the song from ‘Bunty Aur Babli‘. While the film starred Rani Mukerji alongside Abhishek and Big B, Aishwarya’s cameo for the song remains iconic.

For those not in the know, Bachchan lovingly calls Abhishek ‘Bhaiyu’.
The song was composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and the lyrics were penned by Gulzar. Vaibhavi Merchant had choreographed the number. A while ago, Vaibhavi recalled memories of this song in an interview and said that she made one mistake which was to tell Gulzar to simplify the lyrics. The choreographer was scared about how she would choreograph steps on such difficult words so she went up to the ace lyricist and asked him to change the words. Gulzar who is quite polite otherwise, turned to her and said sternly, ‘Yeh badal nahi sakta’.
Merchant also had confessed that Big B was so easy on the set, he was encouraging and created a very comfortable atmosphere to work.
