Director Aditya Sarpotdar’s latest film Munjya starring Shavari Wagh is turning out to be the surprise hit of the season. The film in two days has minted over Rs 10 crore to everyone’s amazement. The director has now moved on to his next film which is again going to be a horror comedy and it stars Riteish Deshmukh and Sonakshi Sinha.
As per a report in Mid-Day, the film which is backed by Ronnie Screwvala ’s production house has been titled as ‘Kakuda‘, and is based on an Indian folklore.The script has been written by Chirag Garg and Avinash Dwivedi.
The film will mark Aditya’s second collaboration with Riteish , together they earlier worked in superhit Marathi film Mauli. As per report, the film is slated to release on OTT but at this point, the director can’t confirm on which platform it will be released. But he shared that the film will be released in the next 2-3 months.
Aditya is a very well known director of Marathi Cinema, and at present, is managing films in both the languages with ease. He is also working on a Marathi film which is co-produced by Riteish himself and is titled Faster Fene, which is a sequel to 2017 film by the same name.
