‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video‘ has now slowly been seeing a dip in the business on a daily basis. The numbers have consecutively kept going down as the day count increased. The film which is a comedy starring Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri and Mallika Sherawat, was meant to bring in a larger audience, especially from the single screens, but due to mixed reviews, it failed to generate larger positive word of mouth.According to trade, the movie also has got less footfalls as the title gives a vibe that it’s not a family film.
After seeing a bit of a jump on second Sunday with a notch above Rs 2.5 crore, the movie started seeing a drop from Monday onwards. On Wednesday, which was day 13, it just about managed to touch Rs 1 crore. The total collection of the movie so far, according to Sacnilk, is Rs 36.5 crore.
It is predicted that ‘Vicky Vidya…’ will end up with a lifetime business of around Rs 40-42 crore. This number though, is more than Rajkummar’s other film, ‘Mr And Mrs Mahi’ but less than ‘Srikanth Bolla‘. It would be wrong to set the benchmark of Rajkummar’s ‘Stree 2’ for every film from now on though, which broke all the records, as it would just lead to higher expectations.
‘Vicky Vidya…’ still continues to have an edge of ‘Jigra‘ which had released along with it on the same day.
