Director Shiboprosad Mukherjee has revealed that he and Nandita Roy produced Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti, a film about a woman priest that featured in the Indian Panorama at the 51st International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Now, three years later, they are excited to present their latest directorial venture, Aamar Boss, which has also been selected for the Indian Panorama at the 55th IFFI.
This upcoming film marks the return of the legendary Rakhee Gulzar to the screen, where she takes charge of a corporate office. Although she has shot for a Bengali film titled Nirban, Aamar Boss will be her first theatrical release since Rituparno Ghosh’s Subho Mahurat in 2003. Mukherjee expressed his thrill at sharing screen space with the iconic actress in this project.
“Personally, it’s a thrill for me to share screen space with her in this project. Rakhee Gulzar will be attending the festival in Goa this November, and we eagerly anticipate this wonderful experience,” Mukherjee told ETimes.
