Kartik Aaryan, known for his charm and fun performances, with a string of successful films he has rapidly ascended to stardom since his debut in ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama‘. However, his journey has not been without challenges, particularly as he navigates the pressures of fame and relentless work demands.
Kartik Aaryan has candidly opened up about the toll that his workaholic tendencies have taken on him. In an interview with Indian Express, he expressed feelings of burnout due to his continuous work schedule, stating, “I’m in a race with no finish line.” Katik remarked that during periods when he lacked work, his sole focus was on securing his first film, which prevented him from enjoying those moments of anticipation.
Reflecting on his career trajectory, Kartik noted the ups and downs he experienced along the way. “I just went for it; the film released, then the second film didn’t work, and then ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ revived my career, almost like a re-launch,” he explained. He acknowledged that success and failure have been constant companions throughout his journey.
Despite achieving significant milestones, he lamented not having had the opportunity to pause and appreciate how far he has come. “Even till today, I haven’t gotten the chance to relax and think… because I am in a race with no finish line,” he added.
When discussing why he often feels unable to enjoy breaks or personal time, Kartik revealed that his mind is perpetually occupied with thoughts about his career. “I don’t think I am able to give myself that personal time because I am always thinking about work—the way forward, what have I not done, what went wrong, what is right,” he shared. This mindset has left him feeling overwhelmed and in need of some self-care. “I am getting a bit burnt out with this—just constantly been working,” he admitted. Despite recognizing this need for balance, he also confessed that work is all he knows: “I’ve tried that [taking time off], but it doesn’t work for me. I am a workaholic x 100.”
He also reminisced about the early days of his fame when recognition from fans brought him joy. He recalled the excitement of someone asking him for a selfie for the first time and how he would intentionally visit malls to be recognized. “This is also work for me; it is no vanity at all,” he clarified, indicating that public acknowledgment is an integral part of his professional life.
Looking ahead, fans are looking forward to Kartik’s upcoming film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3‘, where he stars alongside Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, and Triptii Dimri. Directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar, this horror-comedy sequel is set to hit theaters on November 1.
