Actor Song Jae Rim has been found dead at the age of 39, according to a statement from Seongdong Police Station in Seoul.
On November 12, media outlet OSEN reported that Song Jae Rim was discovered dead in his apartment in Seoul’s Seongdong District. The news was later confirmed by police.
According to reports, a two-page letter was also reportedly found at the scene. Rumours doing the rounds online have fuelled speculation that the actor may have died by suicide, however, an exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed. Authorities have indicated that there are currently “no signs of foul play” and have shared that the investigation into the actor’s death is ongoing.Meanwhile, reports on Koreaboo.com indicate that Song Jae Rim’s funeral is scheduled to take place at a funeral home in Yeouido on November 14 at 12 PM KST. However, a burial site for the actor has not been confirmed.
Born in 1985, Song Jae Rim made his film debut in the 2009 movie ‘Actresses’. He rose to fame for his role in the 2012 drama ‘The Moon Embracing the Sun‘. He went on to make notable appearances in projects such as ‘Two Weeks’, ‘Unkind Ladies’, and most recently in ‘Queen Woo‘.
