Tara Sutaria recently responded to an article about women over 50, including Demi Moore and Nicole Kidman, being celebrated at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. Displeased with the term “old lady energy,” Tara called it ageist and urged people to stop shaming a natural part of life.
Check out the post here:
Tara shared the article on her Instagram stories, which featured the headline, “Old Lady Energy Flexed Its Well-Toned Muscles at the Golden Globes,” along with photos of Viola Davis, Demi Moore, Fernanda Torres, and Nicole Kidman. She questioned the use of the term “old lady” in the post.
She wrote, ‘Old lady “ ???? Seriously? (Beautiful, successful) women in their 50’s & 60’s are NOT old.. MORE importantly, aging is SUCH a fantastic experience we are all lucky to have – why does the media always talk negatively about it particularly when they address women in entertainment and otherwise?’
She further continued, “We must STOP attaching shame to a powerful and glorious, natural experience because young women everywhere will continue to associate fear and self loathing with growing older! And that is just not okay anymore.. LETS BE BETTER FOLKS, ITS 2025!!!”
Meanwhile, Last year, there were reports that Tara Sutaria was cast as Yash’s love interest in the movie Toxic. However, she clarified on her Instagram story that these articles were false and not from her. She added that she would share any updates directly with her fans and emphasized that no one is second to anyone.
