Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s opulent Alibaug bungalow has become the talk of the town, reflecting their taste for luxury and serene living. Recently, Virat was seen at the Gateway of India jetty, returning to Mumbai after a stay at the couple’s holiday home. This followed Anushka’s return from the same property a day earlier.
According to Architectural Digest, the couple’s holiday retreat was designed by the renowned SAOTA (Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects) under Phillippe Fouche and is built on an 8-acre plot purchased for Rs 19 crore in 2022. The villa itself spans a massive 10,000 square feet and embodies grandeur and meticulous craftsmanship.
The bungalow features state-of-the-art amenities, including a temperature-controlled pool, a jacuzzi, four bathrooms, a bespoke kitchen, a spacious garden, staff quarters, and covered parking. The interiors boast Italian marble, Turkish limestone, and exquisite stones, creating an ambiance of understated elegance.
Recently, glimpses of the bungalow adorned with flowers for a puja ceremony captivated fans. Videos showcased priests and puja essentials being ferried to the property, adding to the charm of the picturesque holiday retreat.
In July 2024, Virat shared insights about the villa’s construction journey, which spanned over a year. He detailed the thoughtful efforts behind the interior design and landscaping, emphasizing how the property serves as a perfect escape from their hectic lives.
The Alibaug villa is a noteworthy addition to the power couple’s impressive real estate portfolio. Their Mumbai residence spans 7,171 square feet and is valued at Rs 34 crore, while Virat also owns a palatial Rs 80 crore mansion in Gurugram.
Married since 2017, Anushka and Virat are parents to two children: Vamika, born in 2021, and Akaay, born in February 2024.
On the work front, Anushka Sharma is gearing up for her big-screen comeback with Chakda Xpress, a biopic on cricket legend Jhulan Goswami. The film marks her return to lead roles after her 2018 movie Zero and her cameo in Qala (2022).
