Jackie Shroff recently expressed his frustration while addressing the media about the attack on Saif Ali Khan. The incident, which has shocked the film industry, involved Saif being stabbed multiple times during a robbery attempt at his Bandra residence on January 16. As Jackie spoke about the seriousness of the situation, he was distracted by noise from the media and lost his cool, raising his voice to request that he not be disturbed while discussing such an important matter.
In a video shared by Viral Bhayani, Jackie shared that while it was a dangerous situation for Saif, it should not be interpreted as an ongoing threat to Bollywood as a whole. He described the attack as unfortunate and urged everyone to be more vigilant about their security and that of their families. Jackie called for increased attention to safety measures, including being mindful of building security personnel.
However, during his comments, Jackie was interrupted by reporters calling his name for attention. Initially agitated, he raised his voice but quickly regained his composure and continued to engage with the media.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have made significant progress in their investigation into Saif’s stabbing. They arrested the main suspect, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a 30-year-old alleged Bangladeshi national who had entered India illegally. He was apprehended in Thane after a thorough manhunt involving over 100 police officials across multiple teams.
The attack occurred when an intruder broke into Saif’s apartment around 2:30 AM, injuring a family nanny before confronting Saif. In the ensuing struggle, Saif sustained six stab wounds, including serious injuries to his neck and shoulder. He underwent a five-hour surgery at Lilavati Hospital to remove a piece of the blade lodged in his spine and is now recovering well.
