Saif Ali Khan underwent a surgery at Lilavati hospital where the doctors removed a 2.5 inch part of a knife from his spine. The actor is now back home and safe after surgery and now the police has also found the third part of the knife which was missing.
As Saif and the burglar indulged in a fight, the knife used to stab him, was broken into three pieces. One piece was found in Saif’s spine, the other part was recovered from Saif’s house while the third part has now been found from Bandra Talao which is 1.4 kilometres away from Saif’s house. The accused discarded the knife handle near this lake while going towards Bandra railway station, according to reports. The investigators have gathered significant evidence, including fingerprints, a cap belonging to the accused, blood-stained clothing, a mobile phone, earphones, two knife parts, and now the third fragment.
The police had arrested the accused who was found to be a Bangladeshi. His name is identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammed Rohilla Amin Fakir. He was taken to Saif’s house and then the entire route that he took, passing from Bandra station to recreate the crime scene. That’s when the police have found the third part of the knife from Bandra Talao. According to a CCTV footage shown earlier, Mohammad was spotted walking towards Bandra station at around 7 30 am after attacking Saif.
Later he was also seen purchasing headphones from a shop called Iqra in Dadar. Meanwhile, Saif is now back home after the surgery. He looked fine now but one spotted bandages on his hand and neck. The actor has been advised some more days of rest.
