Filmmaker Anurag Basu‘s upcoming romantic film starring Kartik Aaryan recently became the center of a lot of drama.
There were rumours that Triptii Dimri, the film’s leading lady, was replaced because her image no longer fit the role after her recent bold performances. The film’s title has also changed and is no longer Aashiqui 3. Anurag Basu, talking to HT City, revealed that the shoot begins this month and the female lead hasn’t been finalized yet, with an announcement expected soon.
Anurag further addressed the rumours about Triptii Dimri’s exit, stating that her image was not the reason for the change. He clarified that he would never judge an actor based on previous roles and added that Aashiqui was no longer part of the story. He also expressed uncertainty about the source of these rumours.
The filmmaker also explained that date conflicts were the reason Triptii Dimri is no longer part of the film. He mentioned that she is shooting for a film with Vishal Bhardwaj, while his film begins shooting this month. He added that Triptii remains his best friend and praised her as an actress, suggesting that she could provide more details about the situation.
