On Monday, the love ballad ‘Ishq Mein’ from the highly anticipated romantic comedy ‘Nadaaniyan’ introducing Ibrahim Ali Khan and featuring Khushi Kapoor made it to the music charts. Initially, when the poster came out, everyone seemed in awe of the new jodi’s chemistry; however, the latest reactions show that netizens are not impressed by the fresh pairing.
Composed by Sachin-Jigar and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the song is sung by Sachet Tandon, Asees Kaur, and Sachin-Jigar. Its video introduces Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s characters, Arjun and Pia. Though the track’s video tries to showcase sweet moments between Ibrahim and Khushi at scenic locations, netizens have commented “their chemistry is so bad and boring.”
‘Not a good pair,’ ‘It seems immature kids are acting,’ ‘There is no connection between them and hero looks like third grade,’ ‘There is no connection between them and hero looks like third grade,’ are a few more comments that surfaced as the song emerged. Many even suggested that instead of Khushi Kapoor, Palak Tiwari, or ‘Azaad’ fame Rasha Thandani would have been a better fit. Many commented that the makers should have cast Palak (Ibrahim’s rumoured girlfriend) or Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thandani opposite Khan. Several even targeted Khushi Kapoor, commenting that Ibrahim looks like ‘Saif 2.0’ but he isn’t paired with the right fit. Netizens argue that any other actress would have looked better in the frame opposite Ibrahim.
Meanwhile, helmed by Shauna Gautam, ‘Nadaaniyan’ is going to have an OTT release. It will be premiered on Netflix but its release date is yet to be announced. Till the time this movie gets its release date, Khushi Kapoor will be entertaining her audience on the big screen with Junaid Khan in the movie ‘Loveyapa.’ It is scheduled to be released on the silver screen on Valentines 2025.
