Arjan Singh Aujla, who played Kajol‘s son Sameer in My Name Is Khan, recently looked back on his experience working with Shah Rukh Khan. Now 25, Arjan shared his memories from those days.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Arjan shared that he met Shah Rukh Khan a few days before the shoot at Mehboob Studios for a photoshoot. Arjan recalled how there was a sudden stillness when SRK entered the studio, as everyone paused their work to greet him. They took some pictures together, and SRK, who was smoking, kindly asked Arjan if it bothered him.
Arjan fondly remembered working with Shah Rukh Khan on My Name Is Khan, sharing that during a basketball scene, they rehearsed together for around 45 minutes. SRK was very considerate, checking if Arjan was okay with him smoking and offering him coffee. He also made sure Arjan felt comfortable and even cracked jokes to make his parents feel relaxed.
My Name Is Khan, directed by Karan Johar, was praised for its impactful storyline, direction, and performances. Produced on a budget of Rs 85 crore, the film went on to gross Rs 223 crore globally.
On Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday in 2022, Arjan Singh Aujla shared pictures with the superstar on Instagram, expressing his heartfelt emotions. He recalled their time together on set, describing SRK as warm, welcoming, and a true friend. Arjan emphasized how Shah Rukh filled everyone with positivity and warmth.
