Preity Zinta has expressed frustration over the increasing negativity and judgmental attitudes on social media. Taking to Twitter on Friday, she urged people to be more accepting and less cynical about others’ views and choices. She encouraged people to “take a chill pill” and engage in healthier discussions online.
Preity pointed out how social media users often jump to conclusions, saying, “What’s happening to people on social media? Everyone has become so cynical. If one talks about their first chat with an AI Bot then people presume it’s a paid promotion, if you appreciate ur PM then you are a bhakt & god forbid, if you are a proud Hindu or Indian 🇮🇳then ur an Andh Bhakt ! Let’s keep it real folks & take people for who they are & not who we think they should be ! Maybe we all need to take a chill pill and just be happy to communicate with each other. Now don’t ask me why I married Gene ? I married him cuz I love him 💕kyuki sarhad par ek aisa shaks hai, jo mere liye aapni jaan de sakta hai🤩❤️samjhe 😂 If you know you know …. Ting !”
Anticipating trolls, Preity also addressed questions about her marriage to Gene Goodenough, writing, “Now don’t ask me why I married Gene. I married him because I love him. Kyuki sarhad par ek aisa shaks hai, jo mere liye apni jaan de sakta hai (Because there is one person across the border who can give his life for me). If you know, you know.”
Responding to a user who suggested celebrities should avoid giving attention to trolls, Preity explained that she finds AI intriguing but prefers real interactions. She also reminisced about her earlier PZ chats on social media and hinted at a possible return to such discussions when she has more time.
Preity Zinta married Gene Goodenough in 2016 in Los Angeles. The couple welcomed their twins, Jai and Gia, via surrogacy on November 11, 2021.
