On Tuesday afternoon, the internet was flooded with reports that Govinda is headed for a divorce from wife Sunita Ahuja. While this news has not yet been confirmed, the actor’s manager told ETimes, “There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain members from the family. There is nothing more to it and Govinda is in process of starting a film for which artists are visiting our office. We are trying to resolve it. “
While now people are speculating more about their relationship based on several things said by Sunita in some of her recent interviews, Arti Singh has now reacted to it. Arti is Govinda’s niece and Krushna Abhishek’s sister. Reacting to these rumours, she told News 18, “I am honestly not in Mumbai right now so I haven’t gotten in touch with anybody. But let me tell you something, this is false news. These are just speculations because their bond is so strong. They have built a strong and loving relationship over the years so how can they get divorced? I don’t know where people get all such rumours from, completely untrue. People should refrain from spreading misinformation about their personal lives. In fact, news about my divorce had also broken out for no reason. Such baseless gossip only creates unnecessary stress.”
One remembers that just a few days ago, Sunita revealed that she and Govinda stay separately. “We have two houses, we have a bungalow opposite our apartment. I have my temple and my kids in the flat. We live in the flat whereas he gets late after his meetings. He loves talking so he’ll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them. Whereas me, my son and my daughter live together, but we hardly talk because I feel if you end up wasting your energy by talking too much.”
Some reports also suggest that the rift in this marriage is due to Govinda’s involvement with a 30-year old Marathi actress. However, when ETimes contacted him, Govinda only said that’s he’s just got a lot of work commitments at the moment and only business is happening at the moment. He said, “I am in the process of starting my films.”
