During a chat with Connect FM Canada, Boney mentioned Diljit’s exceptional acting skills and their previous collaboration plans.
He shared, “Diljit has always been a talented actor. In fact, some time ago, I had a film project in mind with him and Priyanka Chopra titled ‘Sardarni.’ However, at that time, Priyanka received an opportunity to work on Quantico in Hollywood, so she requested us to wait.”

Despite their willingness to wait, Priyanka eventually committed to the second season of Quantico, leading to the project’s cancellation. Boney explained, “She was offered the second season, and she received great acclaim there, leading to more offers. She decided to build her career in Hollywood, and we had to let go of that film.”
Boney also mentioned discussing the project with Diljit, who was nearly on board for the film with Priyanka. He praised Diljit’s versatility, stating, “I’ve seen his work in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. He is a phenomenal actor, has a great sense of comedy and timing, and is a talented singer. It’s always refreshing to have a mix of fresh talent in a film.”
Filming for “No Entry 2” is set to commence in December, while Boney’s recent production, “Maidaan,” starring Ajay Devgn, released in theaters on April 10. Meanwhile, Diljit’s upcoming film is “Amar Singh Chamkila,” directed by Imtiaz Ali.
