In February, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to announce the completion of her second home production Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala. The film is being co-produced by Karan Johar and also features Archies star Vedang Raina. The film will see Alia Bhatt in an action avatar for the first time.
As the adage goes ‘ calm before the storm’, it is proving damn right as far as Alia’s date diary is concerned.The actress who currently has no film projects on floor, will have back to back projects going on, July onwards.
Alia’s next project is going to be her first spy film which is backed by Aditya Chopra and directed by Shiv Rawal. If sources are to be believed, the film is slated to go on floor in July in a long 50-55 days schedule. The film also features Sharvari Bobby Deol as antagonist.
Once she completes this film, she jumps straight into Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Love and War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The film is slated to start in September . The month of September is looking very busy for the superstar, as she has booked the date of 27th September for the film Jigra, so might have to split her time between her acting and producer duties.
The actress, who was in London recently for a charity function, also met up with Gurinder Chaddha for a project. But nothing has been finalized till now, despite rumors floating around.
