This basketball star is keeping it comfy on the red carpet.
Caitlin Clark made fashion history on Monday by becoming the first athlete to wear Prada to a WNBA or NBA draft — but she didn’t let the glitz and glam stop her from slipping into something a bit more casual.
“#caitlinclark changes into @UGG shoes after going No. 1. #wnba#wnbadraft,” Post sports reporter Jenna Lemoncelli shared footage on X (formerly known as Twitter), of Clark, 22, doing a post-draft interview while sporting a pair of gray Ugg Goldenstar clogs ($130) instead of the black pumps she wore on the red carpet.
In the video, the legendary Iowa Hawkeye player — who was the No. 1 overall WNBA draft pick — chatted with a reporter while wearing the slingback-style leather clogs instead of the black pumps she wore earlier in the night.
While Clark swapped out her shoes, she kept the rest of her Prada look intact, wearing an ivory satin jacket and skirt with a sparkly silver crop top by the Italian fashion house.
The newest Indiana Fever player accessorized with a tiny black Prada purse and chic shades from the brand.

Basketball fans jumped in to comment on Clark’s shoe swap, like one who wrote, “Have to protect those billion dollar feet.”
“Pointed heels so uncomfortable. Have to protect her feet from blisters, corns. Heels are not too healthy to wear,” another mused on X, while a third fan wrote, “That’s our smart girl.”
Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffrey, also showed plenty of love for her draft look, replying to a fan’s X post with some “OMG” and drooling emojis.
Now that she’s officially a WNBA player, we’re looking forward to more keeping-it-real red carpet ‘fits.
