This hat’s a head-scratcher.
Sarah Jessica Parker shared a peek from the set of Season 3 of “And Just Like That” on Instagram Monday, and while her retro shoes seemed to be a hit, many fans questioned her choice of headwear.
The “Sex and the City” star, 59, wore a floppy gingham “cloud hat” by designer Maryam Keyhani, whose artsy designs retail for hundreds of dollars.
She paired the headpiece with Dr. Scholl’s wooden slides ($120) and a vintage 1970s Ossie Clark dress with a multicolored tiered skirt, carrying a canvas tote for the scene.
She wore the wild look while filming with “AJLT” co-star Sarita Choudhury in Washington Square Park over the weekend, although she swapped her tote for a Pierre Cardin crossbody at one point.
Fans had plenty to say about the “Hocus Pocus” star’s ensemble, like one who wrote, “Outlandish and I’m LIVING for it! ❤️.”
“Only an icon ( like you) could pull off that hat. 👏” another fan commented.
Others were more critical of her headwear, like one who wrote, “Wearing a diaper bag as a hat, clever!” and another who wondered, “Is that a pillow case [sic]?”
“Wearing a pillow on your head is a godsend! You can go to bed on any bench in Manhattan,” a third quipped.
Along with pillows and diaper bags, the star’s “unhinged” topper drew comparisons to Strawberry Shortcake, Holly Hobbie and Little Miss Muffet — but her retro footwear scored high points all around.

This isn’t the first time this month Parker has shown off a statement headpiece; one the Met Gala 2024 red carpet, she teamed her custom crystal-covered Richard Quinn dress with a fantastic Philip Treacy fascinator.
As for Season 3 of “And Just Like That,” we have a feeling this isn’t the last wild hat Carrie Bradshaw will wear.
