The much awaited film ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ has hit the ground running at the Indian box office, amassing an impressive Rs 7.50 crore on its first day of release. The Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer managed to captivate audiences across the nation, leading to its commendable earnings on Friday.
On the occasion of ‘Cinema Lovers’ Day,’ a special offer was rolled out where tickets were priced at 99 rupees for screenings on May 31 and hence 200k tickets were sold out already.According to Sacnilk, the film also registered a noteworthy 46.88% occupancy rate in Hindi theaters on its opening day.
It remains to be seen how Mr and Mrs Mahi manages to maintain the momentum over its opening weekend. The film revolves around the passion for cricket. It is directed by Sharan Sharma and also stars Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab and Rajesh Sharma.
