Vikrant Massey has carved a niche for himself in the Indian film industry over the past decade. The ‘12th Fail‘ actor who is gearing up for his next film, recalled a story that made him take a vow of non-violence.
In an interview with Prakhar Ke Pravachan podcast, Vikrant recounted an incident where he saw a boy frothing and losing consciousness after he punched him, not knowing the boy was epileptic. The boy’s older brother then beat Vikrant up, but Vikrant didn’t feel the pain because he was terrified the boy might die. This experience led him to quit karate, realizing he could potentially kill someone.
Vikrant added that after this, he never raised his hand again and often got beaten up in fights. When the host asked if it was truly unfortunate that he stopped fighting, Vikrant corrected himself, saying it was fortunate, as the memory of the boy frothing at the mouth remained vivid and made him fearful of being triggered again.
On the work front, Vikrant is basking in the success of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ’12th Fail’, which is still making headlines months after its release.
The actor is reportedly set to collaborate with Rajkumar Hirani on his next project, which is a web series. Although there were initial reports suggesting Hirani would work with Ranbir Kapoor next, the director has shifted his focus to this new series. Vikrant will star in the lead role in the series directed by Amir Satyaveer Singh.
