Manoj Bajpayee, who is one of the finest actors in Bollywood, has received fourth National Award. The actor received Special Mention for his film ‘Gulmohar’.
During a conversation with HT City, Manoj shared his enthusiasm about receiving the award. He shared, “Wow! Best Hindi film too! I must call my director Rahul V Chitella right away, I was not even expecting for me.He is deserving of the honour, he has made such a beautiful film about relationships within a complex family system.”
He expressed that his efforts have only recently begun to be acknowledged in the last several years. The actor further added, “It’s happening now. There have been performances and films which went unrecognised, and times when things were just not looking up.”
Regarding the division people made and still make based on where something releases, he continued, “People who discriminated, they are threatened and challenged by the films and work actors and directors are doing on OTT. They are feeling intimidated and that’s a very natural thing for them. But they fail, because good work is good work. Thank you for letting me know about the news. I must have done something good in my previous births.”
On the work front, Manoj was last seen in Apoorv Singh Karki’s film ‘Bhaiyya Ji’. He will be next seen in the third season of ‘The Family Man’. The actor will be seen returning as Srikant Tiwari, a secret cell agent.
