Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra first shared the screen in the 2004 Akshay Kumar film Aitraaz. Following the film’s release, rumors of a feud between them surfaced, with reports suggesting tensions flared during a joint concert in Antwerp, Belgium. In an old interview with Mid-Day, Kareena addressed the speculation about whether she and Priyanka had a significant altercation that “almost came to blows,” a topic they also touched on during a 2019 episode of Koffee With Karan.

When asked, Kareena said, “No, no, no, all rubbish. I was like, ‘What is going on?’ But I think maybe we all had that energy – you know, some sort of thing, where we were all wanting to prove ourselves.”

However, she did agree that the 90s were full of catfights, though she made her debut in 2000 with Refugee. She added, “Oh God! The ’90s were full of it (catfights), the ’90s started, and in 2000, everyone was having a catfight. Kuch bhi bol do (You say anything) and catfight. Today, I mean, you don’t even hear those things, you know. Who knows? It must be happening as a thought, but things are a little different and more chilled out (now).”
Earlier in an episode of Koffee With Karan, when host Karan Johar asked Kareena what she would like to say to PC, Kareena had said, “I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from.”

In another episode, PC answered that question and said, “I think it’s the same place that her boyfriend (then boyfriend Saif Ali Khan) gets it from.” Later the duo appearead on Koffee With Karan season 6, and laughed off the matter.
