‘Grrr..’, streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar, is available in five languages—Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
The film’s unique plot centers around a young man named Rejimon, who, in a drunken stupor, jumps into the lion’s den at the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo. The character of Haridas, portrayed by Suraj Venjaramoodu, is a Zoo Officer tasked with the perilous mission of rescuing Rejimon before the authorities arrive.
The film intertwines this tense survival situation with moments of comedy and drama, including a subplot that showcases Haridas’s relationship with his wife. The narrative also touches on Rejimon’s romantic entanglements, adding another layer to the story. Additionally, ‘Grrr..’ offers a satirical take on the media stunt that often surrounds such bizarre incidents.
Directed by Jay K, who previously helmed the horror thriller ‘Ezra’ starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Grrr.. marks a departure from his usual genre. The film combines humor, tension, and social commentary.
