After spending more than five years in the industry, Siddhant Chaturvedi finally had the opportunity to lead a film with his latest release, Yudhra, which also stars Malavika Mohanan and Raghav Juyal. Until now, he has always had the support of a bigger star alongside him, whether it was Ranveer Singh in Gully Boy, Deepika Padukone in Gehraiyaan, or Katrina Kaif in Phone Bhoot.
However, after a decent first week, the film has collapsed at the box office.Directed by Ravi Udyawar, who last directed Sridevi’s Mom, Yudhra collected ₹11 crore in its first week. But as it entered the second weekend, its collections dropped to single digits, with Friday bringing in just ₹5 lakh and Saturday adding only ₹8 lakh, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. This brings the film’s total to ₹11.13 crore, while the film’s budget is estimated at ₹50 crore.
Looking ahead, Siddhant Chaturvedi has two significant projects on the horizon. He is set to star in Dhadak 2 alongside Triptii Dimri, a film produced by Karan Johar. The film is the official Hindi remake of the 2018 Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal, while Dhadak was a remake of the Marathi superhit Sairat. Additionally, he has secured a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next production, directed by Ravi Udyawar, where he will be paired with Mrunal Thakur.
