Christopher Nolan’s admiration for India is well-known, and his films like ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and ‘Tenet‘ were shot extensively in India. The 2020 movie ‘Tenet’ included veteran actress Dimple Kapadia in an important role, and she recently shared an incident that happened on the set of the movie.
Dimple revealed in an interview with Vogue India that the director admired a pair of her earrings during a costume fitting and asked her to leave them behind after filming. “I promptly took out my earrings and wore them. Christopher Nolan turned around and said, ‘Oh, they’re lovely. You can leave them behind after your shoot,’” she shared. She humorously added that she complied with his request and gave them to him as asked.

Dimple further expressed her admiration for Tenet’s costume designer, Jeffrey Kurland, appreciating his patience with her quirks. She humorously admitted that Kurland endured her eccentricities but still crafted a stunning look for her character, describing the outcome as “absolutely beautiful.”
In the same chat, the actress expressed her heartfelt gratitude to God for blessing her with many opportunities early in her career. Dimple said that working with many versatile filmmakers and stars has been extraordinary. She also admitted that without God’s guidance, she might have turned into “an arrogant b***h.” She humorously added that the only thing God did not give her is a ‘brain.’
John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh also played key roles in ‘Tenet’.
