In her recent post, Simi defended Abhishek Bachchan over rumours of him getting divorced with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and dating Nimrat Kaur.
She shared an old video of Abhishek from her chat where the actor spoke about relationships and infidelity. He said, “Call me old-fashioned, but I have nothing against being frivolous. I have nothing against people wanting to have fun with both of the constants; then, by all means, enjoy yourselves. But if you have committed to somebody on whatever level, then abide by that commitment; otherwise, don’t make it. I personally feel that as a man, if you commit to a woman, even if you get caught up with her boyfriend, you should be loyal to her. Men are usually accused of being very disloyal; I have never been able to understand that, and I don’t agree with it. It disgusts me,” he said in the video.
Simi shared this video and she wrote, “Rendezvous Gems. I think everyone who knows Abhishek personally will agree he is among the nicest men in Bollywood. Good values and innate decency.”
Farah Khan who has worked with Abhishek Bachchan on ‘Happy New Year‘ commented on Simi’s post and said, “I fully agree he’s just the nicest guy.”
For those not in the know, rumours of Abhishek dating Nimrat started after a blind item on Reddit which just went viral in the name of clickbaits and gossip, with no evidence or fact checks whatsoever. Meanwhile, Aishwarya slammed all the divorce rumours as she wished Amitabh Bachchan on his birthday by dropping a picture of his with their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
Netizens commented on Simi’s post and asked her if she’s trying to protect Abhishek. However, Simi soon deleted this post. On work front, Abhishek will be seen next in a film directed by Shoojit Sircar, which is titled ‘I Want To Talk‘.
