Arjun Kapoor has been open about his struggles with loneliness, fame, and the misconceptions surrounding him in the film industry. In a recent interview, he shared his past feelings of loneliness, especially following the loss of his mother.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, in light of his highly publicized former relationship with Malaika Arora, he was asked whether he still experiences those feelings of loneliness. He discussed how he had previously addressed loneliness in 2014 when he was still adjusting to life after personal losses. He revealed that returning to an empty home in his mid-20s left him feeling isolated, despite his success in films like ‘Ishaqzaade’, ‘2 States’, and ‘Gunday’.
He explained that while he has experienced ups and downs in his career over the past few years, he is now focusing on himself and trying to reconnect with what matters in his life. He emphasized that taking care of oneself should not be viewed as selfishness, but rather as a necessary step towards healing. The actor said that it is crucial to confront feelings of loneliness rather than projecting them onto relationships with others. He stated that whether someone is in a relationship or not, it is important to respect one’s own feelings and experiences without intertwining them with those of others. Kapoor believes that the challenges he faced earlier in life do not define where he is today.
Currently, Arjun Kapoor is seen in ‘Singham Again’, from the Rohit Shetty cop universe, where he stars alongside Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone.
