Ajay Devgn, who has been a leading figure in Bollywood for decades, opened up about the release of Singham Again and his journey in the industry. Reflecting on his growth as a person and actor, he admitted that while life hasn’t changed much, his maturity and patience have increased, especially as his children grow up.
One of the strongest pillars of Singham Again has been his collaboration with director Rohit Shetty. Devgn shared in an interview with ANI that their personal bond strengthens the creative process, as Shetty knows exactly how to bring out the best in him. This trust has allowed their projects to reach greater heights, with Singham Again being no exception.
The movie, a highly anticipated sequel, features a multi-starrer cast, including Arjun Kapoor, who Devgn praised for his performance. He said, “We all were very happy to come together. People were saying a lot of things earlier but I am happy that Arjun Kapoor got a lot of love for his performance. I feel when an actor is talented and he workd hard, he eventually gets his due. I think this is a good start for him.”
As for the box-office clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Devgn acknowledged that while they had tried to avoid it, sometimes things don’t go as planned. “We all tried to avoid that clash on Diwali but it didn’t happen. I never want any film to clash at the box office because the industry suffers in that. Given the theme of ‘Singham Again’, we couldnt have given up on this date for release. But despite the clash, both the film are doing well so it is all good,” he added.
When told that his role in his nephew Aaman Devgn’s debut movie, ‘Azaad’ reminded people of the late Sunil Dutt, Ajay averred, “We are all fans of Dutt Sahab. Ever since I have entered in this industry, I am been told that my face resembles him. If it is true then I am very grateful. He was a legendary actor and has a lot of films to his credit.”
