While the release of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ was highly awaited as the film released on December 5. However, the release came along with a tragic incident. On December 4, a premiere show of the film had happened in Hyderabad at Sandhya Theatre. It lead to a stampede kind of a situation where a 39-year-old woman passed away and her son got critically injured. Post this incident, Allu had announced that he will give Rs 25 lakhs to this family and to take care of the child.
An FIR was filed against Allu Arjun and now on Friday afternoon, the actor has been arrested by Police. Amidst this arrest, actor Varun Dhawan has now come out in support of Allu Arjun. Varun was at the promotional event of his upcoming film ‘Baby John’ in Jaipur. Talking about it, he said in a video shared by a paparazzo Pallav Paliwal, “There are safety protocols. An actor cannot take everything upon himself.” Varun added that his event is managed very well by Cinepolis and he’s grateful for it. He further added that he feels extremely sorry for the woman who lost her life and her son who got injured. He said, “I’m very sorry. Sending my condolences. But at the same time I think aap blame sirf ek insaan pe nahi daal sakte (But at the same time I think that you cannot put the blame on just one person).”

The police has said that a case was registered against the actor, his security team, and the theatre management at the Chikkadpally police station under sections 105 and 118(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on the complaint by the deceased’s family. Thus, Arjun was taken into police custody as a team arrived from Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad to Allu’s residence.
