Boney Kapoor’s No Entry 2 is one of the most anticipated films. It has been in the news for a while due to its casting. The original No Entry featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, and Celina Jaitly. The sequel will star Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Arjun Kapoor.
In an exclusive interview with News18, Boney shared why he couldn’t bring back the original cast for No Entry 2, including his brother Anil Kapoor. He provided an update on the film, revealing that shooting will begin in June 2025, and expressed confidence that the sequel will be even better than the original.
The producer further shared that the shooting for No Entry 2 will begin sooner than expected, likely in June or July 2025. He also confirmed that the release date is set for October 26, 2025, for Diwali. He expressed hope that they will meet the target despite the extensive post-production work ahead.
Kapoor mentioned that No Entry 2 has great potential and many believe its story is even better than the original. He acknowledged that while it has all the right elements, it wasn’t possible to retain the same cast. He respected the reasons behind the cast changes and assured that the film has been reworked with a fresh approach.
Boney Kapoor’s recent film, Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn, did not perform well at the box office, earning less than Rs 70 crore, despite receiving positive reviews from critics.
