Singer Mika Singh recently shared an amusing anecdote about Bollywood superstar Salman Khan during an interview with The Lallantop.
Mika, known for his collaborations with the actor, disclosed that Salman often calls friends and associates late at night, around 2 or 3 a.m., and expects them to pick up. Missing the call could upset the superstar, who doesn’t consider whether the recipient might be asleep.
“Salman Bhai is like an elder brother. If you miss his 2:30 or 3 a.m. call, he gets upset. He doesn’t think about whether the other person might be sleeping,” The singer shared.
Mika recounted one such incident while he was vacationing in Bali. Salman called him in the middle of the night to discuss songs for his 2014 blockbuster ‘Kick’. Salman insisted Mika listen to the tracks Hangover and Jumme Ki Raat. Mika had recorded Jumme Ki Raat but was apprehensive that it might be replaced by Salman’s rendition.
To Mika’s relief, Salman’s nephew was asked for feedback and remarked that Salman’s version sounded more like shouting, whereas Mika’s voice suited the song better. Eventually, Mika’s rendition was retained, becoming a chartbuster. The anecdote highlighted Salman’s commitment to perfection and his quirky late-night habits.
Mika also shared fond memories of his bond with Salman, likening him to an elder sibling who can be demanding yet caring. The duo has worked together on various projects, and their camaraderie extends beyond professional collaborations.
On the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for his next big release, ‘Sikandar’, directed by A.R. Murugadoss. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna opposite Salman for the first time on the big screen.
