‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ from the word go promised that it would have its reign at the box office and well the king is on his word. On Monday, i.e. day 11, the Disney animated adventure drama did see a dip of more than 50 percent, but it still outperformed Varun Dhawan and Atlee’s ‘Baby John’s collection in the second week.
According to the Sacnilk report, the movie has minted around Rs 5.4.rore in India across multiple languages on its day 11. With a drop of 53.45 percent, the movie made the most in the Hindi language, as it minted Rs 2 core net, not far behind is English with a collection of Rs 1.75 crore. Further, in Tamil, the movie managed to make Rs 1.25 crore, and in Telegu, it recorded the lowest with Rs.04 crore earnings.
The film’s total net collection as of now is estimated at Rs 107.1 crore net in India. Directed by Barry Jenkins, ‘Mufasa’ has maintained its grip at the Indian box office across different languages, despite facing competition from the mass entertainer ‘Pushap 2’ with Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, and Varun Dhawan’s action drama ‘Baby John.’ Though ‘Mufasa’ couldn’t beat ‘Pushpa’s collection on Monday, it wasn’t too far behind; as the former made Rs.5.4 crores net in India, and the latter thrived with Rs.6.65 crore. However, the movie beat ‘Baby John’ with a good margin as the Varun Dhawan starrer minted below Rs 2 crore.

In the total collection, the maximum earnings came from the film’s English and Hindi versions with a business of Rs. 37.15 crore and Rs37.1 crore respectively. Further, in third place are the collections from the Tamil language – Rs.18.5 crore, and following close behind is Telugu with a net business of Rs 14.35 crore.
