Actress Pavithra Gowda’s daughter, Kushi Gowda, shared a poignant stand on social media to defend her mother against online trolling and criticism following her involvement in the Renuka Swamy case. Pavithra Gowda, who was recently granted bail, has faced relentless negativity from netizens, prompting Kushi to share an emotional message highlighting her mother’s true character and a life of sacrifices on her Instagram account.

She began her note by saying that she never thought she would have to write something like this, but the words of social media users have left wounds she is unable to ignore. “Every irrelevant comment, every assumption, every hurtful word about my mum has pierced my heart in ways you could never imagine. You don’t know her. You don’t know her struggles, her sacrifices, or the countless times she’s put everyone else before herself. You speak as though you understand, as though your judgements have any weight – but they don’t.”
She further noted that she is the only person who witnessed all the battles her mother has fought in silence. “Only I know the nights she stayed up, holding everything together, while the world seemed to fall apart around her. My mum is my world, my strength, my inspiration, and so much more. She is not just my mother – she is my father too. She has filled every role in my life with so much love, care, and resilience that I can truly say she is my everything. To me, she is the definition of love and sacrifice. She has endured more than I can ever put into words, and yet she continues to move forward with grace, kindness, and love.”
Kushi called out people who spoke against her mother without knowing her, labelling it as “unfair and cruel.” “What hurts even more is that, despite all of this, some of you continue to add hateful comments. Even after seeing the pain your actions have caused, you still choose to tear her down. Do you not see that I am just a teenager? I’m still young, still trying to make sense of the world, and these words hurt more than I can express. It’s overwhelming to carry this weight, to see my mum being judged so unfairly, and to feel powerless to stop it. My mum has never done anything to hurt anyone. Not once. She is the kind of person who always looks out for others, even at her own expense. And yet here I am, watching her name being dragged through the mud by people who have no right, no understanding, no heart. It hurts.”
“But what hurts the most is knowing that she doesn’t deserve this. My mum is the best person I know, and I will stand by her no matter what. She has been my protector, my guide, and my source of unconditional love. Please, think before you speak. Words can hurt more than you realise. You might see her through your distorted lens, but I see her for who she truly is – my hero, my everything. And nothing you say will ever change that,” she concluded her note.
Kushi also shared an affectionate picture with her mother, Pavithra Gowda, following her detailed note on Instagram. Pavithra Gowda and her co-star Darshan Thoogudeepa were allegedly involved in the death of a fan, Renuka Swamy, who was reportedly killed by a group of people allegedly with Darshan’s involvement. Both Darshan and Pavithra were granted bail on December 13 last year.
