Post the success of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Kabir Singh , Shahid Kapoor will now be in his angriest avatar with his latest film Deva where he plays the titular role. The film is being backed by Siddharth Roy Kapur and is directed by Rosshan Andrrews.
The film revolves around a brilliant yet rebellious police officer who uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal while investigating a high-profile case. While a section of audience feel that the film is a remake of Rosshan Andrrews’s 2013 blockbuster film Mumbai Police which starred Prithviraj in the lead, there is no confirmation about it currently. The teaser of the film shows Shahid dancing angrily, which is interspersed with his action scenes showcasing his frustration and rage.
The film also features Pooja Hegde in the lead with Pavail Gulati, Kubra Sait and Parvessh Rana.The trailer of the film will be released soon, as the film is slated to release on 31st January. It was earlier slated to release on 14th February, but was preponed.
It is an exciting times of cinema halls as there are are going to be back to back releases in the month of January and February with Emergency releasing on 17th January, Sky Force on 24th January , Deva on 31st January and Badass Ravikumar and Loveyapa on 7th February.
