Post the success of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2- The Rule, all eyes were set on Ram Charan and Shankar’s combination to elevate the dominance of Telugu Cinema with their Game Changer. But as one says in life, expect the unexpected and that’s exactly what happened with Daaku Maharaj.
Daaku Maharaj is a story of a daring robber striving for survival and establishing his own territory while fighting with powerful adversaries. The film has been led by Nandamuri Balakrishna popularly known as NBK and Bollywood actor Bobby Deol plays his nemesis in the film.
While Game Changer released on Friday, Daaku Maharaj is releasing on Sunday, and with just its morning shows till 10 am, the film has already crossed Rs 3.5 crore collection, whereas by early evening, the premiere shows in North America have already clocked in US $ 675,000 ( Rs 5.8 crore ) and by the end of the day based on solid word of mouth, it would be able to earn closer to what Game Changer ( US $ 1 million) minted on its premiere day.
The film was recently in the news for its song Dabidi Dabidi that featured NBK and Urvashi Rautela. Social media went a buzz over the choreography of the song, and taking to X, Urvashi wrote , “ It’s ironic how some who’ve achieved nothing feel entitled to criticize those who work tirelessly. Real power isn’t in tearing others down, it’s in lifting them up and inspiring greatness.”
