Having been delayed over a decade, the Vishal starrer ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ finally hit the big screens on January 12 and the latest reports say that the movie has crossed Rs 3 crores worldwide in just 2 days.
According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ has collected Rs 3.5 crores worldwide in 2 days and the India Net collections for the movie stand at Rs 5.97 crores. The India Gross collections for this Vishal starrer stand at Rs 3.5 crores in just 2 days.
Reportedly the Tamil Net Box office collections for the film stand at Rs 5.97 crores and on day 2, as per the early estimates, the movie has made a high of Rs 2.97 crores which is quite impressive. The movie had opened with Rs 3 crores in the kitty.
Directed by Sundar C, ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ stars Vishal, Anjali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Santhanam in pivotal lead roles and the movie was announced back in the year 2012. The movie was delayed over a decade due to financial troubles and right now the entertainer has turned out to be the perfect Pongal release. Audiences seem to love the movie for its nostalgic style execution which the industry has left a long back. Santhanam’s comedy sequences are said to be the main highlight of this entertainer.
The script of this comedy entertainer is penned by Venkat Raghavan and Sundar C and the cinematography is by Richard M Nathan and the editing section is handled by Praveen KL and NB Srikanth. The music department is handled by Vijay Antony.
