Cash Warren and Jessica Alba might call it quits after 16 years of tying the knot, but it would come out at high expense for Alba. According to the reports, the stay-at-home husband might receive $2 million yearly as spousal support, regardless of prenuptial agreement.
Alba, who is a co-founder of The Honest Company, worth $609 million and once had a value of $1 Billion – with a big ‘B’, gets to keep what’s hers. Warner, who was once a producer but hasn’t worked for 10 years, will receive aid through their divorce.
In an interview with The U.S. Sun, Goldie Schon, the legal expert and powerhouse certified family law specialist, stated, “Even if there is a prenup, and she gets to keep what is hers, therefore, the Honest Company, which is quite lucrative, that will not stop the issue of spousal support.”
She continued, “So if the court believes that if there was a prenuptial agreement, and let’s just say the prenuptial agreement said neither one of them is going to get spousal support..the court, believe it or not, today, can make the decision that is not conscionable and throw it out and still order spousal support in the same vein as it would as if the prenup never existed.”
The $2 million value is just for spousal support, additionally, Jessica would be paying $60,000 for the child support as they share three children.
The rumours of the divorce began when Jessica was seen without her marital ring – twice. Once, she was spotted at a night out in Rome, and the second was when Alba attended the pre-Golden Globes party solo without her diamond ring.
