Khushi Kapoor, who is awaiting the release of her upcoming movie, ‘Loveyapa’ with Junaid Khan, recently opened up about carrying forward her mother, Sridevi’s legacy and her advice.
In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Khushi shared that she doesn’t recall any specific advice from her late mother, Sridevi, but mentioned the pressure of carrying such a legacy. She acknowledged that people have expectations and tend to compare her to others, but as she is still new to the industry, she aims to do her best and carve her own path.
Sridevi, an iconic Indian actress, worked across Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada films. Regarded as the “first female superstar” of Indian cinema, she received numerous awards, including a National Film Award.
Sridevi’s career, spanning over 50 years, saw her excel in various genres. While she was private and introverted off-screen, she portrayed strong-willed, outspoken women on-screen. In 2013, she was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor. Sridevi was married to Boney Kapoor, and they had two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, both actors.
