Actors and real-life couple Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa have sparked excitement among their fans with a recent social media post hinting at a new collaboration. The couple, who previously worked together in Citylights, shared a cryptic message that read, “Something special is brewing. Can’t wait to share it with you all. Stay tuned!!”
While their announcement did not reveal any details, fans quickly started speculating that the couple might be expecting their first child. Despite Rajkummar clarifying that they were not about to become parents, many followers continued to guess that a baby announcement might be on the way. One fan commented, “They must be having a child,” while another added, “They are going to be parents.”
Rajkummar Rao was last seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which unfortunately did not perform well at the box office. However, he has already moved on to his next film, Maalik, which is currently in production. The film is directed by Pulkit, known for Dedh Beegha Zameen, Bose: Dead/Alive, and Bhakshak.
Rajkummar had previously shared the film’s poster, where he is seen standing on a jeep, holding an AK-47, with a line of trucks in the background. Giving fans an update, he had captioned the post, “#Maalik ki duniya mein aapka swagat hai. Shoot shuru ho chuka hai, jald hi mulaqat hogi!” (Welcome to the world of Maalik. Filming has started, and we’ll meet soon!)
This will mark Rajkummar’s first time playing the role of a gangster in an action thriller. The movie is being filmed across multiple locations in India with an extensive shooting schedule.
Since his debut in 2010 with Love Sex Aur Dhokha, Rajkummar Rao has appeared in more than 30 films. He has received several accolades, including a National Award.
Although he had small roles in Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2 and Talaash: The Answer Lies Within, his breakthrough came in 2013 with Kai Po Che! and Shahid. He later gained popularity with films like Queen, Aligarh, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Trapped, Newton, The White Tiger, Ludo, Monica, O My Darling, Badhaai Do, and Stree 2.
