Rajeev Juneja, managing director of Mankind Pharma, shared his thoughts on collaborating with new celebrity faces like Deepika Padukone for advertisements.
During his appearance on Raj Shamani’s podcast, he discussed his strategies regarding ad revenue and budget allocation for the company.
He praised Anushka Sharma for her professionalism and discipline as a brand ambassador for Prega News. He noted that her behavior is free of tantrums or unnecessary drama, attributing her ethics to her army background. Anushka, who became the brand ambassador in 2020 during her pregnancy with her first child, Vamika, welcomed a second child, son Akaay, last year.Juneja also shared that he had a positive experience working with Kareena Kapoor Khan, the previous Prega News ambassador, and expressed interest in signing Deepika Padukone as the brand’s next face. However, he mentioned that she hasn’t been signed yet due to budget concerns. He also revealed ongoing discussions with Alia Bhatt for the same role.
Deepika recently embraced motherhood after she delivered her daughter Dua Singh Padukone last year. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is already a mother to her daughter Raha Kapoor.
Rajeev Juneja shared that only 20-25 percent of the total ad budget is allocated to the production, including the celebrity fees. The majority of the budget is spent on promoting the ad and ensuring it reaches a wider audience.
