Shah Rukh Khan stars in a new ad for a soft drink, showing off his swag while surfing. Fans had mixed reactions—some were thrilled to see him, while others questioned his support for carbonated drinks.
In the ad, Shah Rukh Khan appears with newcomer Zahan Kapoor. It starts with Shah Rukh encouraging Zahan to conquer his fear of surfing. He then showcases his own surfing skills, gliding smoothly across the waves with his trademark charm.
Shah Rukh posted the clip on his Instagram handle, writing, “Jo kehte hai abhi tera time nahin, unko galat saabit karne ka sahi time yahi hai. Toh aaja, jo duniya maane tujhe kam, usey dikhaade tera dum. (People who say that it is not your time, it is time to prove them wrong. So come, show your strength to the world who think you are weak)”.
Zahan responded to the clip by thanking Shah Rukh Khan and the ad’s creators for making his dream of sharing screen space with the superstar come true.
Fans had mixed reactions to the advertisement—some celebrated Shah Rukh Khan’s exciting return to the screen, while others expressed disappointment. While one fan wrote, ‘Nahi bhai is me sugar bahut hai, Acha nahi ye soda health k liye (No, please it comes with a lot of sugar. It is not good for health)’, another one added, ‘Abe asi drink ka add Kyu karte ho (Why do you do such ads)’. A fan also commented, ‘Kyu logo ka Nash karne per tule Ho (Why do you want people to pick wrong decisions)’.
Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his next film King, co-starring Suhana Khan. At the 77th Locarno Film Festival, he revealed plans to lose weight and start stretching for the role.
Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan’s King will reportedly be directed by Siddharth Anand, not Sujoy Ghosh. The film, written by Ghosh with Anand, Suresh Nair, and Sagar Pandya, starts filming in March 2025 with a 6–7 month schedule and a global release in 2026.
