Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya are basking in the success of their latest film, ‘Thandel’ directed by Chandoo Mondeti. During the success meet of the film held recently, Sai Pallavi delivered a speech, praising the cast and crew of the film.
According to a Gulte post, recalled the words of real-life ‘Thandel’ Rama Rao, who asked the team to celebrate the success with them in Srikakulam. She thanked Rama Rao for allowing the ‘Thandel’ team to create the movie based on their real-life experiences, calling it a unique honour.
Sai Pallavi also spoke about Naga Chaitanya’s strong belief in ‘Thandel,’ mentioning that he felt the film had the potential to emotionally connect with audiences. She stated that Naga Chaitanya believed so much that the movie should become a hit, not just for his hard work but for the emotional connection the movie has.
During the event, Sai Pallavi also engaged the audience by dancing to the film’s hook step, inviting Naga Chaitanya and Allu Aravind to join her on stage.
The story of the film is about the capture of fishermen from Srikakulam by Pakistani forces in international waters. The story follows Raju played by Naga Chaitanya, a fisherman, and his love for Satya portrayed by Sai Pallavi. Raju’s capture leads to Satya’s struggle to bring him back home.
‘Thandel’ has had significant box office success. Within just six days of release, ‘Thandel’ surpassed Rs 80 crore worldwide. By day 5, the film had collected Rs 44.35 crore in India. As of day 7, ‘Thandel’ was nearing the Rs 50 crore mark in the country.
The music of the film is being appreciated by the fans, which is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
The movie was released on February 7th, 2025.
